The Divopu International Airport is located in Divopu, a suburb to the north-west from Urumqi, the capital city of the Sintzyan-Uygur Autonomous Region, the north-western part of China. The Airport is in 16 km from the Urumqi business center. This is the largest airport in western China and, starting from 2008, it has been standing on the 21st place among the most loaded airports in China, as regards passenger flows.
The Airport has an area of 4.84 km². The runway is 3,600 meters long. Such large air vessels, as Boeing-747, may land at this Airport. 30 aircraft may be simultaneously located at the airfield with its area of 11 hectares.
