The Air Bishkek Airline (formerly, Kyrgyz Airways) was registered on February 7, 2007. During its early years of activities, Air Bishkek has provided its aircraft in leasing to local airlines, including national airline, Kyrgyzstan.
Stages of the Airline’s growth:
- September 14, 2009 - Air Bishkek operated its first regular domestic flight on the Bishkek – Osh – Bishkek, air route;
- December 16, 2009 – The Airline has started operating Bishkek – Moscow – Bishkek flights;
- Starting from January 24, 2010 – The Airline has started operating its Osh – Moscow – Osh flights from Osh, Kyrgyzstan;
- From April 2011, it has started operating the flights on the route Osh – Novosibirsk – Osh and Osh – Krasnoyarsk – Osh air routes;
- Starting from October 21, 2010, the Osh – Irkutsk – Osh flight has been launched;
- On March 7, 2011, Air Bishkek has started operating its flights on the Bishkek – Istanbul – Bishkek air route;
- On June 24, 2011, Air Bishkek has started operating its flights on the Bishkek – Krasnoyarsk – Bishkek air route;
- On July 14, 2011, it has started operating the flights on the Bishkek – Urumqi – Bishkek air route;
- On July 16, 2011, it has started operating the flights on the Osh-Saint-Petersburg-Osh air route;
- On April 29, 2012, it has started operating the flights on the Bishkek-Seoul-Bishkek air route;
- On May 18, 2012, it has started operating the flights on the Bishkek-Isfana-Bishkek air route;
- On June 16, 2012, it has started operating the flights on the Bishkek-Surgut-Bishkek air route;
- On July 04, 2012, it has started operating the flights on the Bishkek-Irkutsk-Bishkek air route;

The Airline’s air route network and traffic capacities are permanently growing up.
Since its inception, the Airline has carried more than 468,727 passengers and 1 382 696 kilos of cargo.

The Air Bishkek Airline is the first one in Kyrgyzstan that has made a real breakthrough in the future, exerting a significant influence on the air transport development in Kyrgyzstan.
The Air Company was the first one in Kyrgyzstan that filled in his air fleet with modern western aircraft, such as Airbus A-320 and Boeing-737-300, which allowed introducing a qualitatively new level of service for passengers.
The Airline’s staff and passengers have particularly anxious relation to their Airbus A-320 air vessel, which was named after a legend-man – a talented and world-famous writer, Chingiz Aitmatov.
Air Bishkek’s air fleet continuously increases – currently, two Airbus A-320 modern aircraft are based in Kyrgyzstan.
