The Osh International Airport is located to the north-west from Osh, in nine kilometers from the downtown.
The Osh International Airport is one of the largest airports in the Ferghana Valley. It is located at a distance of: 839 km from Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, 322 km from Tashkent, Uzbekistan, 103 km from Namangan, Uzbekistan and 43 km from Andizhan, Uzbekistan. The Ferghana Valley is completely isolated by mountains, as this fact makes it difficult to operate on-land transportations; at the same time, it opens a future prospect to develop air communications. The aerodrome has one runway and accepts air vessels when taking into account an appropriate PCN artificial runway. At present, such air vessels, as TU-154, TU-134, Boeing-737-200, Boeing-737-300, A-319, A-320, Saab and AN-24 are permanently used at this Airport.
The Osh airport building has a lounge for transit passengers, Parliament members' hall and a VIP-hall.
The following regular flights are operated nowadays to such destinations, as Bishkek, Moscow, Saint-Petersburg, Sharjah, Dushanbe, Urumqi, Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk, Kazan and other domestic airlines' flights, as well as periodical charter flights are operated.
