Ataturk International Airport is an international airport in Istanbul, Turkey, is among ten the largest airports in Europe on passenger turnover. It is located in the European part of the city in 24 kilometers to the west from the city’s historical downtown, the Sultanakhmet Square.
It has two terminals, the international and domestic one. The international terminal was built in 2001, whereas the domestic one – in 1970th. The international and domestic terminals are connected by an underground passage to each other.
Opened in 2001, the international terminal is a comfortable, efficient and modern terminal.
