The Manas International Airport is one of the largest and modern aviation hubs in Central Asia on servicing air carriages. The Manas International Airport is located 23 km to northwest from Bishkek, the capital city of Kyrgyzstan. At present, the Airport has profitable positions, having been located on crossing Asia and Europe.
The Airport is a member of the Airport Council International (ACI).
The height above sea level is 637m. The Aerodrome Manas belongs to «B» class according to standards International Air Convention and «4E» class according to ICAO standards. A mode of operation is round- the-clock.
The Airport was reconstructed in compliance with the ICAO requirements. The airport building’s design is made in a modern style. The registration and waiting lounges are equipped with modern equipment: the registration stands produced by Vander Land Industries, examining devices produced by Smiths Heimann, and the air conditioning system produced by Carrier.
The Manas International Airport makes all possible efforts for passengers’ comfortable stay at the Airport. The airport building has shops, chemistry shop, café, Internet rooms and kiosks on selling newspapers and magazines. The Manas International Airport has VIP and business halls, a room for religious rituals and luggage vault. Also, one may use mail services, automatic cash terminals of various banks and exchange money at the airport building. One may buy air tickets at air companies’ air ticket sales offices that are on the first floor of the airport building. One may buy some souvenirs at shops trading with souvenirs where there is a vast selection of national souvenirs. Parking lot for passengers’ private vehicles is provided at the airport land side.
The airdrome is constantly exploited by the following types of aircrafts IL-76, IL-62, IL-18, TU 154, TU-134, YK-40, AN-24, AN-26, helicopters of all types including foreign aircraftsA-320, B-737, B- 747 and etc. In the airport has carried out flights of AN-124 (RUSLAN) and AN-224 (MRIYA).
Light-signal equipment and the ILS-NM 7000 instrumental landing system are in compliance with the ICAO’s Second Category from Both Directions of Landing.
The Manas International Airport has main and connecting taxiways, a passenger apron and a cargo apron equipped with modern technological equipment.
The platform has over 75 parking places the average and the distant main road planes and two telescopic ladders of type TB 35/21-2 made by THYSSEN HENSCHEL; however, the apron is designed to park all types of air vessels.
The capital city airport is air gates of Kyrgyzstan and the country’s visit card.
